Experience an amazing eco-adventure inside the grounds of the Eden Project, home to the world’s largest rainforest in captivity. We combine a wide range of fun adventure activities, including abseiling, archery, climbing, orienteering and survival skills with exciting Eden Project workshops, such as Rainforest Uncovered, Secret Biome, Fire Carriers and Storm Patrol.

What’s more, you’ll be staying in en-suite, high spec bedrooms made from recycled shipping containers so you can be sure your pupils will enjoy a uniquely educational and fun experience they will remember forever!

Access to the world’s largest rainforest in captivity at the Eden Project, unique YHA ‘Snoozebox’ accommodation inside the Eden Project grounds, heated reception marquee for use as a fun social space, gift shop, games area, Eden Project workshops and catering, playing fields, free Wi-fi, a wide range of adventure activities and 24-hour security.

Eden Project Workshops:

  • Rainforest Uncovered
  • Fire Carriers – for years 5-8
    • Learn safe fire skills and explore trust and risk.  Survive in the Cornish wilds by learning to work with fire. Pupils will learn new skills, safe practices and respect for their surroundings with qualified and experienced staff.
  • Storm Patrol – the global den challenge – for years 4-9
    • Who doesn’t like making a den?  This activity adds an Eden twist to an ancient art and shows you how we can cover the entire curriculum in one den (well nearly).  We will be testing each team’s efforts!
  • Potions and Commotions – for years 3-6
    • Outdoor games, creativity and craft. Pupils will be asked to look and look again at their world using their senses. Teams will play, learn and work together to complete the challenges and win back their freedom (and maybe some chocolate!).

Your accommodation is provided by YHA Eden Project (powered by Snoozebox), a unique place to stay and perfectly in tune with the sustainable, eco-friendly surroundings. The 60 modern en-suite bedrooms comprising 174 beds are made from recycled shipping containers! They don’t feel like shipping containers anymore as they have been fully kitted out with high-spec bathrooms and all the convenient comforts you’d expect, even TV’s and full air conditioning!

Learning Outcomes

Adventure Central residentials aren’t just about fun, fun, fun! They support many areas key to the enrichment and personal development of young people. These activities support and encourage positive attitudes, awareness of others, mental development, motivation, behaviour, wellbeing, physical activity, social development, confidence and responsibility. The learning outcomes and benefits include:

  • Working effectively in a team, supporting each other and recognising achievements
  • Demonstrating the ability to listen, to understand and act on instructions
  • Developing new skills, and improving physical techniques that enhances knowledge of the outdoor environment
  • Using new equipment and gaining an understanding of its purpose and aim

Just £170 for a 3-day or £270 for a 5-day all inclusive residential trip that includes:
